ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Maliki Ankavay is a virologist. He studied biomedical sciences, bacteriology and virology in Cameroon at the university of Ngaoundere. In 2015, he graduated from a research Master in fundamental infectiology in Lyon university, France. In 2019, he became a Philosophy Doctor (PhD) in cellular and molecular virology. The same year, he obtained the award of the best doctorate candidate with his thesis about viral hepatitis. He has worked at the Pasteur Center of Cameroon, at Pasteur Institute (Paris, Lille) and at the Center of Infection and Immunity of Lille. He was also employed as a teaching and research assistant at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lille. The 1st of June 2020, he joined the Institute of Microbiology of Lausanne in Switzerland. Today, he is still a member of the Goutte à Goutte humanitarian association. He is the co-author of 4 scientific publications about hepatitis E virus. WIN AGAINST POVERTY is his first book.
